My Approach to Physics Tutoring

As someone who has studied Physics for a long time, I understand how different teaching methods can impact your learning.

Through my experience, I’ve developed useful analogies and practical tips that have helped my students, and my younger self, to grasp challenging or abstract concepts. I find using relatable examples makes these ideas easier to visualise and understand.

I adapt my teaching methods to suit different learning preferences to ensure you get the most value from each lesson. Whether you learn best through visuals, listening, hands-on practice, or a combination of all three, we’ll build your confidence and deepen your understanding, hopefully while making the subject more enjoyable.

    About Alice

    About Alice

Hiya, I graduated from the University of Nottingham with First-class Honours in BSc Physics with Nanoscience in 2022. I am fascinated by how things work and finding sustainable solutions to problems. I’m currently studying for an MSc in Sustainable Building at the Centre for Alternative Technology, so I totally understand what it’s like to be a student right now.

Whether you find yourself rushing through problems, not interpreting what’s being asked, struggling with maths or structuring written answers, there are things we can do to help you improve.

Having taken many (many) exams, I’ve developed effective revision strategies and excellent exam techniques — skills I share with my students. It’s always possible to pick up extra marks!

While some of my current students are continuing with me into their next academic year, I have plenty of availability for new students seeking weekly (or more) Physics tutoring. I invite you to reach out with any questions through my contact form, or book a free 20-minute meeting where we can chat about your goals and needs.
